Lee Highway (Brainerd Road) looking southwest - Lee Highway runs straight out from the bottom of the image. The railroad tracks in the foreground are still present. The intersection of Airport Road and Lee Highway is visible; and in the background is a bridge where Brainerd Road crosses South Chickamauga Creek (bridge covering is no longer over that section of the road).
Hickory Valley Road just south of where it intersects with Lee Highway (intersection is visible in top left). The subdivision near the center of the image is Hickory View Lane before it was fully developed. The road running perpendicular is North Concord Road. Image looks north from approximately where I75 is currently [2014]. Many of the houses on Hickory View Lane (including the one visible) were built in 1955, so this image was taken during this subdivision's development.
Brainerd Road (left side in the image) looking north east, toward where Highway 153 is currently [2014]. Tacoa Ave and Tacoa Circle are visible in the left center; Sky View Drive-in is visible in the right center and that is where Eastgate Mall is located. The intersection of Spring creek Road, Viston Avenue, and Brainerd Road are visible just south of the drive-in.
